Ringette Scores on Cancer is made possible through the combined efforts of the Ringette Scores on Cancer charitable foundation, the Alberta Cancer Foundation and the University Ringette Team.

In November 2012 the University Ringette Team was recognized with a National Philanthropy Award for its tireless efforts with Ringette Scores on Cancer.

In June 2014 the University Ringette Team was inducted into the City of Edmonton Sports Hall of Fame for its outstanding community service activities, including Ringette Scores on Cancer. As well, the team was recognized for winning three consecutive national championships (2012, 2013, 2014) at the Canadian University Challenge Cup (UCC). The UCC is held each year in January and provides university ringette teams from all across Canada the opportunity to vie for varsity supremacy. The University Ringette team features players from the universities of: MacEwan, Alberta, Concordia and NAIT.

In June 2015 the four coaches of the University Ringette Team were inducted into the City of Edmonton's Sports Hall of Fame in the Builder category. The induction recognized the long term extensive efforts the coaches contributed to the creation of university ringette in Edmonton and all across Canada. As well, their significant charitable efforts through Ringette Scores on Cancer were recognized
