TOURNAMENT RULES

.) All teams are guaranteed to play three round robin games.

.) The top ranked team (2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss) in a pool will play a fourth championship game against the top fundraising team in the same pool. In the event the top ranked team is also the top fundraising team then the second ranked fundraising team will play the fourth game.

.) If teams in a pool are tied for points at the conclusion of the three round robin games, the team with the greatest fundraising total will be ranked highest.

.) All tournament games consist of two 20 minute running time halves with a 2 minute half time rest period.

.) All penalties assessed will result in a penalty shot as no player will serve time in the penalty box.

.) There is no overtime in round robin games (i.e. a tie remains a tie). However, a tie at the end of the fourth championship game will be resolved by a shoot out at the conclusion of the second half.

.) Shoot outs will involve 3 different players from each team alternating shots. The team scoring the greatest number of goals during those 3 shots will be declared the winner. If the teams still remain tied then individual players from each team will alternate shots until a winner is determined. A player may only shoot once throughout the shoot out process until such time as all players on the team's roster have had the opportunity to shoot.

.) A team will be allowed one 30 second time out per game.

.) Each team is required to provide one volunteer to assist in the timekeeper's box during their games. Failure to provide the required volunteer will result in that team forfeiting the game.

.) The decision of the referees &/or tournament organizers is final. There is no appeal process.
